This is something that I have been tossing around in my head for about a week now. I'm developing a simple RPG Text Adventure game. I've incorporated 6 "skills" and a working equipment bonus system. I'm now developing my combat system. I've successfully created it, but it's not perfect. I'm still struggling to get a good combat formula. Now, when I say combat formula, I'm not only talking about a player's general combat level (like in RS). I'm really talking about that certain weight between hitting or missing an opponent or that opponent hitting or missing you. I'm entirely new to this and I was wondering if there was really a system to developing something like this.
