Hi, this debate is about whether or not you think Barack Obama is, or will do a good job in the future, based on his current standings. If you're going to share your thoughts, please back them up with intelligent reasoning, hence the board this thread has been posted in. The following example (First '+ Ex') will be my thoughts on the subject.
+ Ex) I think Obama is doing a great job in office so far, and continue doing a good job in the future. He's had plans from the start, and one of them has recently been put into play. Operation Iraqi Freedom is ended, and he is now said to be focusing on our TERRIBLE economy. If he manages to fix this, I'll love him for ever. I do think he could improve on the focusing of our environments, and that oil spill had been fixed.
+ Ex) I love Obama he is the best!
The same applies to - reasoning.
So get to debating!

I had to watch Obama's speech today in school, they made everybody watch it, it was really cool if you thought about it.
He is a good president, I'd say, but he hasn't really done anything, if you compared him with Bush, Bush did a lot, but a lot of bad things, but Obama did some good stuff I guess.
He's good in my opinion.

I agree, he hasn't done too much. However he did end Iraqi Freedom, which Bush basically started. Bush also had 8 years to do all that he's done. Obama has had two. :p
Oh, and it is much harder to end a war than start one. ;)

I just wish there was never a war with this crap, then we'd get some nice comments. :(

Okay - so sum up everything from the documentary that makes him a con-artist.
In my opinion, Barrack Obama compares to JFK standards, just modern. He came into office with a huge task of fixing everything, and although not everything is fixed - he is making shit better.

of Iraq's people killing our family & friends
wouldn't you rather have it ended now instead of having more Americans die...

Your a fucking idiot.
You clearly don't have anyone working in the Military, i do. It's heartbreaking to find out that your uncle died because he was protecting this country, but people like you are just saying "keep fighting end it kill everyone" but you don't get that the war CAN'T END.
The "opposing army" has many people to bring to wars, as do we. It's just people killing people, and many lives will be lost.
Obama did the right thing and ended it, ending a war doesn't make America a "pussy" country, it just means that we have some dignity to end something before it got worse.
Stop being such a fag Ghost seriously, i'm sure theres tons of things that you started but never finished because 1) you were too lazy 2) you didn't want to do it 3) you lost interest.

okay smart ass
so you would rather let americans sit in iraq and die?
what if it was your mom or dad or someone close to you in iraq and they died k?
i bet you would want it to end
but since your whole family are lazy bitches and sit on there asses all day doing nothing besides eating cake and sitting on there asses
it doesnt matter to you cause your whole family is with you...
some people's moms and dads are in iraq and they want them to come home...

Bravo, you should go for president.
Not really.
My step-father died while fighting in Afghanistan.
I never said we were a "pussy" country, but now that you bring it up, it sounds like it. It's because there's no point in ENDING it, as it'll just say "Hey, we're pussies and sitting ducks. Come terrorize us with psychological warfare!"
Dignity to end something? We're not ending it. There will always be terrorism, but you can slow it down by some means, or even eradicate it. At this rate, shit like 9/11 will happen again.

We've been fighting for a decade, or almost a decade about this. It was enough and the time to end it came.
We had some self-respect to end the fight instead of keep killing people, and keep ruining some families.
You obviously didn't like/love your step-father because if i was you, i'd be crying because of this topic. My Uncle was in Afghanistan as well, he died last year, and I don't give a shit what you said, but he died protecting this country, for people like YOU. who don't give a shit about them.

think of it like this than
you and you best best friend just got into a fight
and you guys haven't talked forever and you guys were friends for years
dont you think you would want a good friend back?
and have it like the old days full of fun and laughter
dont you think that would be nice?

Lul. It's the left wing that doesn't give a shit about them. Obviously in war there are deaths, as that is what war is. Why would Obama slowly take out troops, therefore lessening the power, and putting our troops more at risk. I would push through and finish it, instead of half assing it.

LOL at every one who thinks their protecting their country's.. Tony blair admitted that he would go to iraq regardless of womd (weapons of mass destruction). Iraq was not a threat, people only agreed with the war when it started because of the hype around terrorism (9/11 tec etc), This only started when a journalist reported on womd's, it was of course a hoax and he later hung himself.. Americans and their pride.. it just enforces the stereotypical image of dull brash one sided Americans..
Barrack Obama has been left with a tuff job that george bush left him, cuts are going to happen people loosing their jobs will happen so dont blame it on Barrack Obama that you elected a president that will actually do something (We have this problem with David Cameron although he is a complete asshole)
Get over your god forsaken pride and admit that
1. The war is wrong
2. You need to see the bigger picture
3. "Think what it feels like when its your family is being killed" The army is suicide, as soon as they go they are dead.. That is after all what war is

Nah, im not into metal.
Yes, exactly what you said, "Obviously in war there are deaths" thats what Obama didn't want so he brought them back. why did he bring them back slowly? So the enemies don't just come attacking once again.
"push through and finish it" You know, its easier said than done.
I think i'm gonna go outside and jump off my roof and fly outside!
Soldiers sign up to protect our country, for people like you, but you don't give them any respect at all.
@ what zar0s said, its a example, its not supposed to say USA and Iraq were "best friends" but they were allies before. Please gain some common sense before posting. Sometimes you have to think outside the box.

Soldiers sign up, yes, but they agree there is a high possibility of them dying. They die to protect us and our freedom. Think about all those soldier that died IN VAIN because Obama pulled out from Afghanistan. Their deaths were worth nothing if nothing is accomplished, as nothing was accomplished.
@the music part:
I only wanted you to hear this part of the song-
So how does it feel to know that someones kid in the heart of America
Has blood on their hands, fighting to defend your rights
So you can maintain the lifestyle that insults his family's existence

October 16th, 2010, 14:16
When people make their pitch for presidency, they like to promise a lot of things. These things cost a lot of money, not exactly smart to do during a recession. If they know it is a bad thing to do, why do they do it? Because it is what the people want. They give the people what they want, which ends up making shit worse in a lot of cases. During a fragile recovery, you need to meet your short-term debts and consider the long term profits, while in this case there is a lot of worry about the long term debts with little attention to the short term debts, and no consideration to the long term profits.
Overall, since you guys are talking about economic aspects of his rule, he is doing a bad job. While overall he isn't doing so bad. People don't know half the stuff they are trying to argue about. Some people are mad that he is doing a bad job without knowing the things they are asking for isn't a smart move anyways.

Hes been left with a tough job, George bush being the worst American president starting 2 wars for no reason what so ever... He wont be able to do much until hes fixed Georges mistakes.. we have a problem in Britain because Tony Blair and Gordon brown listened to the American governments, hence why we have a conservative in power destroying our economy which will soon put both us and America in a double dip recession.. The welsh parliament needs more powers, before David Cameron starts listening to America..
