Do you agree with what America did?

America could of had the chance to take over a lot more land. We could've had Japan, parts of China, and other smaller places. But do you like this decision? Japan was taking over China and other lands, and we came in and starting defeating their fleets, cutting of their trades, and we made 5 million troops surrender. We took over the whole east cost of China just about, and took over all the land that Japan captured, and we gave it back to the original rulers. Whats your opinion on this?

I think that trying to control land all across the world seperated from our culture would have been too difficult. Once you get to controlling too many lands you start to crumble.

This is what happened to the Colonies while being controlled by Britain.

Britain payed all of there attention to the colonies causing anger among the citizens.
Parliment revolted against King Charles I, this war took all the attention to Britain, leaving the colonies to question the laws and control by Britain
Then Britain tried to re-inforce all these laws and restrictions when the war ended, causing anger among the Americans.
This led to the Revolution.

The same outcome would happen with us, although maybe in a different way because of today's technology.
As historians say, history tends to repeat itself.

They did to an extent, the public didn't want us going into the war so we stayed out of it. There were many reasons why we went into the war we actually were trading with both Axis (Germany, Japan, Italy) and the Allies (England, Russia, France, ect) we were neutral but I could go on and on about why we entered it.


Basically Pearl Harbor had a big part to do with it but it wasn't the only reason.
