Hello everyone, my name is Edd.
I'll keep the introduction brief as this topic is to find out what you as the players and developers think of what is a good idea to add to my server.

My idea is for a more realistic, slightly more time consuming but satisfying server.
Many of my concepts and ideas I have never seen spoke about or even implemented into a server. I think this will create a fresh new fun environment for players to come and settle down.

My first idea was to have professions, The idea was based that the player would choose his profession at the start of account creation.
This wouldn't limit what skills a player could train, but possibly bonus exp for his/her professioned skill, or maybe even starting levels.
For example.. profession = blacksmith. Player would get bonuses in mining and smithing but normal exp for every other skill.

Next Idea is for + items. The idea was that 70% items would have a upgraded ( stronger, more expensive, harder to obtain ) counterpart.
Most craft-able items ( example rune platebody ) could be crafted at +3 but at a very low chance. ie. 0.05% chance of making +3 ect.
This could also be implemented into supplies? Rune bar +3?
Items that could be dropped as +3 or +2 or w.e but likewise alot rarer then normal counterpart.
Was thinking of limiting this against special weapons ( Gs, Dragon weapons, whips ect ) out of thought of overpowering them.

On the economy side of things, I hate how on some private servers money is soo easy to come by. I wanted to take it back to basics. You need a skill to start making money.
Shops will sell items at 300% street price, allowing players to make money off skills either by selling to players or selling to shops for 80% street price.
High alching will come back, Giving a good price for all items alched.
Just so its not abused, Natures will demand a higher rune-crafting level and possibly give 1 nature to every 2 ess.

60-80% of all items craft-able.
Unless the item is unnatural or ancient ( vissage, Barrows, Dragon items , GWD items, Third age) I'd like it to be craftable, This include party hats, Robin and rangers, and climbing boots.
Party hats to craft will require the rare or expensive materials and multiple 99 skills.
Hopefully this will intrigue players enough to go for skills as well as pking and create a stable economy.

Home towns.
At the start of a player creations, they will be designated a home city. ( possible to pay large amount to swap home city )
I came up with this idea after thinking about non wilderness hunting.
The concept of the idea is that every area you will be able to attack fellow players ( as long as they don't have the same home city as you whilst you are located in you're own home city. Fighting fellow city mates out of you're city will be possible )
This will add another element of danger to the game, No longer will you want to skill in unsupervised areas without friends out of thought of being attacked at any second.

Certain areas & Home cities will be supervised by hard to beat Guards who will immediately attack anyone with a red skull ( Players receive a red skull after attacking someone outside of the wilderness, or by attacking a city guard. This then will stay with the players for 15-30mins)
ALL BANKS/ SHOPS WILL BE SAFE ZONES.
ALL HOME CITIES WILL BE SINGLE ATTACK AREA.

If a player attacks another person with a red skull the first person to attack will not get a red skull.

Players who die with a red skull with lose everything and for the remainder of there redskull time will be jailed.
If you die outside of the wilderness without a red skull you will lose 3 items.

This idea brought me onto a new version ( much better imo) of bounty hunter.
2 selected NPCS ( one hero, one rouge ) will be placed around real scape.

The Rouge NPC will assign you a target(player) somewhere in realscape, this could be anyone. After killing the player you will get a red skull and around 1m cash reward.

The Hero NPC will assign you a target (a rouge bounty hunter, Someone with a red skull) After killing this player you will get around a 500k cash reward.

This minigame will reward slayer exp.

Red skull will be given to anyone entering the wilderness 1iteming.



That's most of my ideas for now, I'd like to hear suggestions and feedback on my Ideas. Also to anyone who made it this far into my thread, I'd like to hear what you think the perfect exp rate for a server is.

Please If you do not understand any of my ideas, don't hesitate to ask and I will explain further.

Is hard to put ideas into writing as I'm sure you are aware.

I think your ideas are good but why have skilling place dangerous?

I was thinking over having everywhere dangerous to add a new element. Anyone where other then the home cities it is possible to be killed. Or if so inclined kill others but face the red skull.
