Hey,

Ok, so I've read every guide that's out on RuneLocus.

I've also tried using uTorrent, with more success.

But I get this message when I run my server: "Server is already in use."

Is there anyway to overcome this problem.

Thanks.

Port is already in use, it told you the problem. Its common when using utorrent for portforwarding, i recommend doing it the normal way if you cant fix utorrent. Portforward.com for the steps. Or you could look for a hoster.

Yeh, I've tried.

But normal port-forwarding does not work for me.

So I tried using uTorrent.

Can this problem be solved?

Or does this mean I can't port-forward at all?

Thanks.

Look for a hoster its easier..

I wanna test this server out first..

Not planning to pay for a VPS or Dedi considering I only want to test it.'

So does this mean I cannot port-forward myself?

Unless there's a solution that can help.

Thanks.

Sometimes it means you cannot portforward. The more reasonable way is either finding a hoster or doing the manual way by following steps at portforward.com

Also if you just wanna test it, you can run the server on localhost(only you would be able to login/play it), but its a way of testing it. Also finding a hoster can be pretty hard, but its even harder if you dont try.

Thanks.

I have tried using portforward.com

I followed all the steps correctly but I think my internet is static (or the one that you can't port-forward with)

I wanted to test if I could port-forward in any way, not test the server.

Plus finding a hoster means I need to pay them, is that correct?

I'm just trying to port-forward my server myself first.

Thanks for the help.

Well finding a hoster doesn't always mean you have to pay alot, i know a guy who wants a 1cent starter fee but idk if hes 24-7. Some hosters are free depending on what they will get for hosting it/making it online for you.

Also its no other method to get your server online other then portforwarding unless you wanna run a hamachi (which arent popular).

No, Hamachi's aren't popular, haha.

So this problem with using uTorrent "Server is already in use." cannot be fixed?

Um. You would have to turn off the server. So its a chance it can be fixed, but it is most likely something that wont occur because they use the same port as the server so. Either utorrent or the server, and if it isnt both on then no portforwarded server.

So you mean they both need to be on at the same time?

Anyway, I think I've resorted to using Hamachi, haha.

Thanks for your help anyway.

Alright, but like i said Hamachis dont get alot of people and have no place to be advertised really lol. Good luck with that though. Later you can look for yourself a hoster i guess.
