What do you think? Two resets a month?

I was wondering, do you guys prefer a toplist reset twice a month or prefer to keep it like it currently is (once a month)?

Yes, that's pretty much what I mean.
The month is quite long and it's hard to obtain a high rank as newcomer after +/- 15 days because some servers already have an amazingly high vote count.

I like that idea, It might also stop people coming on saying "zomgz corruptionx got liek 20k votez, dey r cheeting". I'd say give it a go, see how it works out. :)

I personally believe we should reset three times for four months out of the year, however in december when people are forced to be inside most we should reset for times a month. That leaves seven other months. I think that for three of them we should reset seven times total. Three of the others should be reset randomly at least four times throughout the three month period. The last one will be June which is my birth month so it's instantly God status so no resets at all.

No, I disagree - There should be a fixed schedule when the rests are. Not, one month 2 resets, the other 5 the next 3 etc. However, I understand where you are coming from but it is just making things harder for major servers which bring in a lot of traffic. If our toplist is no longer popular because of 'random' resets then you loose that traffic the servers bring.

If anything, reset every week of december and keep the rest to a fixed schedual.

Twice a month a better, gives lower ranked servers a better chance at gaining more players; higher rank. Also isn't so bad that other toplists are prefered. ;)

Well, I guess it would help smaller servers that don't get that many votes, but it would also piss off bigger servers that get alot of votes.

I really like the Runelocus toplist, so I do my best to stay #1 on here every month but resetting every 15 days can get a bit annoying, 2 weeks ain't much.

I'd stick to monthly resets, you could always add a box to the toplist with: "re-organise votes based on the past 15 days", but it should be monthly by default.

Small servers that want to get popular usually try SO HARD to get a few votes. If those votes get deleted when they just then earn them, then they won't get too many chances.

Whether or not the #1 server has 20k votes with 1 reset a month or 100 votes for a non-popular server.

If you increase it to twice a month, the #1 server might have 10k votes, and non-popular will have 50. Either way, the popular server will always be enough ahead for the low ones to not be noticed.

If you increase the reset, the high servers will advertise more for people to vote before next reset.

I honestly prefer 2 resets every month, I've seen servers on the day of a reset on the first page that I haven't even seen before, they were probably hiding on page 15 with 2 votes. After the reset, they somehow get maybe 3 votes, get on the first page, and will end up getting a lot more viewers and therefore having more players on the server.

It at least lets those little servers have a large boost.
