Because you may forget it and they will keep charging you for runescape membership.I'm sure jagex can make anything they like.
That means that they can make it so that you do not need a credit card and that you are able to try membership for seven days for free.

Thats with reguar membership, nothing difrent its just free. You cant just sign up for 1month membership without canceling your sub, they auto charge you. Same base, jagex is extremely smart by takin advantage of the little kids parents credit cards..

But the thing is with the "free trial" is

1) You need to add a card
2) They can charge your card if you don't cancel before the 7 days it up
3) You can't have been a member before to use this offer.
