ps, using the distance as a measure of how good your connection is isn't very reliable, as it depends on how fast that route is. Your connection has to pass through a number of servers, but a longer route may still have the same number of servers as the short one.

This is weird, I get pretty much the same speed whatever distance I use:

But on the whole, it's unbearably shit and slower than everyone elses internet. Anyone have an explanation?

That generally how it is. High download and amazing ping. However very low upload. I'm sometimes lucky to get 4MB/PS Upload (On a 20MB/PS Package).

My speed result is,download=1.09Mbps and my upload=0.87Mbps and i check my speed from scanmyspeed (Only the registered members can see the link.) and the reason why im using this speed checker is that i dont have flash to support speedtest.net so i went for this and without java and flash its working..
