Debate about whether you think Horizontal or Vertical Integration (Monopolization) could be good or bad.

As of right now in the US these are regulated even in a free enterprise economy.

I think that it could be a good thing because it would take away the exchange from business to business that increases prices.

What are you talking about? With no competition they could charge whatever the hell they want, which is why it is regulated. If one person owned all the steel in the world, he could charge whatever price he wanted for his steel. This would then have a knock on effect on the prices of things related to steel, even if it is not made from steel such as machines which make other things. This would then bring the price of so many things higher, just an example of why they are bad.
