Crashed at 593 players....
4GB of ram, using -server VM tag, dual processors.

maybe it's your jvm, with the -Xmx option you restrict the size of the heap that the JVM reserves. I have looked at the design of the server and it seems to be fine.
EDIT: post the crash error.

It removes the sockets of the player but not the render. So you could login and there would be two of every player ;)

Who cares, I always thought Hyperion was to bloated anyways.

This is why I see no use in programming it.
We all know pja lags with 50+ players on so who is to say a normal 317 hyperion wont?

you see no one programming it because they cant program it.

program it properly and this wont happen.
only reason hyperion "sucks" in my view is it uses to much memory.
but then again theres a easy fix for that.

I just held 700 people on a shard base (No not Creative Scape), and it was on my friends desktop with shitty internet.
Edit: Funked up the heap on the server and it held 900 <3
