Hey,

So what do you think about the new update?

New achievements, interface, etc.

To be honest, they basically implemented the game frame from Team Fortress 2..

Now they've ruined CS:S with more lag and less rego.

Post your opinions.

I haven't noticed any differences in lag and how the game plays.

Achievements are w/e you can try for them or just mess around and get some.

The maps look brighter and a little better than from before and the flashlight if finally working like it should.

The flashlight has always worked.

But depending on the server you play on, it is either disabled or enabled.

I haven't noticed much of a difference between the brightness of the maps however, but the lag is definitely one flaw which is noticeable in Australian servers.

Finally, the Achievements are annoying because you can't achieve them through bots. :P

But the game frame is now similar to CS Beta and TF2..

The kill cam is like tf2 and the end of the round is similar to that of tf2.

And I am talking about how the flashlight is brighter has better shadows and looks like a actual flashlight.

Ah, I see.

Seems the same to me unless it's just because of my brightness/gamma settings.

But overall, I dislike.

Especially as a serious gamer, in a clan and on a ladder.

I don't really care to be honest. I like all the visual updates, while disliking the drop in fps. Flashlight is a nice addition but the achievements disappoint me because most of them are the same except with different guns, which is piss poor because I know valve can come up with much better and unique achievements. Kill cams are nice, but the bug where it wont show you who's using the mic is spot on not cool. More people would have been fine with it if mod makers took the time to update their mods (MANY didn't take the opportunity). But, I am rather disappointed in Valve for having so many bugs with the Beta having as long as it did for testing.

I actually hate the new update, it lags.. Causes dedicated servers to stop working, the hitbox is totally changed... the killcam lags just before the person get's killed.
Overall... no improvement at all.

The MVP stuff are nice, but I don't like achievements, it's too much like TF2 with the achievements and shit :/
Otherwise, it's nice. I lagged in the beginning but they fixed it I guess..
