Hi..
Ok,
I really need help with this.
Today,
I went to go on my other computer but to my amazement when it was loading it go to the
Windows section with the loading bar below it,
Usualy after that it will take you to the password section but instead of going to the password section it restarts it self automatically.
Here is what happens incase you didnt get it then...
FIRST:
I turn the computer on
SECOND:
The screen that you get when you don;t turn of the computer correctly before where it says
Start windows normal, boot in safe mod etc.
THIRD:
I click start windows normally and it taks me to the windows logo with the loading bar below,
It then just restarts it self.
I can't get any further than that.
Can anyone tell me
how to fix this, and what is the problem ??
Thanks.
BTW:
The computer is Windows XP.
And i have never had any problems such as this before.
I have tried booting it in safe mode and it just gets tot he logo with the loading bar and restarts on it's own.
PLEASE HELP.
Thanks,
-Eminem

sounds like some boot files got corrupted. since you can't boot in safe mode, the only choice you have is to reinstall.
edit: if you have the windows xp CD, though, it may give you the option to repair. try that first.

What you need to do is:
Before the loading screen, press F8 to run it in safe mode.
While safe mode is loading there will be a big list of drivers that it's loading - you need to check which one it freezes on and restarts.
My PC did this after I updated my ATI drivers - turned out ATIPCIE.sys was causing Windows to reboot after loading (this was on Windows 7)
I had to reinstall Windows.
You can run Ubuntu from a CD using it's Live-CD mode and back up any files you need before formatting.

This happened to me once, when I rang the pc company 'Dell' they told me to do exactly that. (You may need a new hardrive though)

if his hard drive went out, it wouldn't even get as far as the boot screen.
