I think you should get a few more of RAM, mines is like 4GB and it lags on MineCraft lol

Looks good to me.

Perhaps two Samsung F3 1TB drives would be better in RAID-0 or RAID-1 format.

Change the CPU though, the i3 6xx series are pointless, either step up to the i5 760 or side step to the cheaper i3 540.

Check out Aria, great retailer - cheaper at most goods then SCAN, better customer service too.

Yeah looks good personally i like AMD Phenom. But I would try going for a higher wattage fan like 750.

i5 6xx series sorry - I meant the same.

i5 6xx series are shit.

Get the i5 7xx series for the i3 5xx series.

The i5 6xx perform the same as the i3 5xx series, the i5 7xx series is better than both.

Mines AMD phenom x2 (x4 because i unlocked the cores).

Its 3.2 GHZ and has a 6 mb cache, 2 more than the intel one listed; although the intel one has a built in GPU i doubt it will be that useful if he has a half decent graphics card?

Theres a huge difference in price aswell

Intel Only the registered members can see the link.(Clarkdale)+(Socket+LGA1 156)+Processor+-+Retail+?productId=39237

AMD Only the registered members can see the link. n+C3+(Socket+AM3)+Processor+-+Retail+?productId=41167

I could be completely wrong, but the AMD seems better with specs and price included?

$477 for a decent gaming PC with 8GB of RAM.

Same GPU as Clawz who, if he's done any gaming, will know is a great card.

Its good ;) Considering most mmo's require 256 -500 mb the card is pretty beast

If you want a decent gaming machine I'll struggle to go lower than $470 unless you take 4GB of RAM instead, but it won't make that much of a difference, maybe take it down to $430/440?

OK.

I'm trying to build PCs for three different people at the same time, got the threads mixed up.

£500 is plenty, I'll get to it.

Might be worth waiting on the GTX 460s replacement (GTS 550) - due sometime soon.
