Well holidays are obviously an automatic theme, but most of the graphics designers on the forums prefer not to show there IRL Face/Pic. freestyle will be used more often though.

too many directions means voting ends up being based on content and less of art, I free style all the time but when its a competition its best to have rules, its like saying lets have a race, you have 1 week to prepare and you can modify your own vehicle to win but 1 guy starts with a bicycle and another a Bugatti Veyron, might be the best damn bicycle you've ever seen but your going to lose the race. Bottom line is some styles etc cannot be easily compared.

Also the idea of set themes and different peoples take on it with comparing is good to me, then it becomes how you relate to the pieces as someone else sees it.

I think 3 freestyles and one theme.. Who cares about people complaining, majority rules. They will get used to it. Freestyle is all you really need to do.
