Well hi there, I'm Mod Dave A of RuneLive Owner along side of Afflicti0n, RuneLive has had it's run, but now it's time we closed, I'm sorry for all who played, I know I did a lot of stuff half assed before you say "OMFG BAD CODED", yeah and i also know it's not much diff then dspk, but atleast it's got players, I only used this source while developering, my real server Elysium, witch is still in progress.

The server rocks! I just downloaded it and it downloaded the Cache for me. ;)

Some servers had that problem that they could not download the cache but this one was special. Worked just well. :)

Did you change the ip ect correct? because iv ran this server to mess with it and it was ok for me

I've changed the IP, and everything, I run the client, it opens, run the source, everythings gd, but in the Client CMD, it says
"Cannot find the path specified,

You need go to go to GUI.java in the client folder and find sign.signlink.startpriv(InetAddress.getByName and you will see that website thing net to it and change it to 127.0.0.1

I cant even get the server to connect - one time I had the server up atleast the cmd run.bat opened up stayed up and it said players:0 yada yada itw as up

Is there a thread or tutorial somewhere with how to change NPC locations shops ect. on it because I looked at other PI tutorials (That's what base this is right?) And I didn't find any of the .java files that it says to edit. I've been searching through it for forever and can't find anything resembling it :P

*Facepalm* Alright to solve a few questions that people have asked. If you run one of the batch files and it says path not specified, edit the file to to the current version of java you are using. I currently have jdk1.6.0_25 If it tells you error connecting to server it most likely means you didn't change the IP that the client connects to. Go to client.java and search "server =" change it to 127.0.0.1 The cache apparently auto downloads. If not and you are able to find a download for it place it in your Local Disk: (C). If you want to change the name of the cache go into the client and search for "signlink.java" search the current name of the cache and replace with whatever you want it to say. This is also where you can change where the cache reads from if you want to move it. Don't forget to change the name of the cache as well after changing the link to it. To add/move the location of an NPC search "spawn-config.cfg" to add/move objects use "objectmanager.java".

These are the basics to getting the server to where you can actually log in. If this is your first source welcome to the private server community. Have fun with your first go at port forwarding and MYSQL. For any other basic starter help there are tutorials all over the web :)

Where are the character files? i searched in the source, the folder is there but none of the accounts i created myself appear to show up, so i have no way of making myself an owner/admin.
