View Full Version : Potstyle abusively banned me
Mr Divine

Runelocus,
Last night I made this thread for the fun of it and as a joke: Only the registered members can see the link.
When I went to bed last night, I knew it'd probably be locked in the morning. However, me and a few friends got lulz out of it so I didn't mind. What I did mind, however, was the comment Postyle made when he closed it:
You're the biggest idiot, since you created this thread.
The biggest thing here is that at the time he closed it I did NOT have an infraction. He simply closed it.
I admit that the comment I made next might've been unnecessary, but his was as well.
I posted this in a VM to him:
It was a joke. L2humor.
You're just mad because you didn't get global. *Shrug* that's what you get when your never on, I suppose
As far as I know, that's far from "bannable". Infractable maybe. But in NO WAY bannable. He gave me an infraction at first. The infraction was for "spamming". However you MUST notice that he didn't infract me right when he locked the thread. He infracted me after I made the VM. When I replied back that I was going to dispute the infraction for the simple reason that he didn't infract me for spamming. He abusively infracted me for a VM. One where I didn't even use a single word of foul language.
But it got even worse.
I initially tried to make this thread on Divine. However, when I went to check exactly what my VM said, I found I had been BANNED.
Banned. For the reason that I need to "grow up".
This is the most absolute shit thing I've ever heard of.
P.S. Yes, I'm obviously Divine.

You just hate me, so tbh idc what you think.

I care why? The mods let a thread like THIS: Only the registered members can see the link. which is almost 100% spam live; yet because Potstyle raged at me for that VM, I'm banned?
If that's what Ikiliki considers non-abusive, that to hell with this.

Mate, you got banned for 24 hours, live with it.
Honestly, you deserve a bigger ban, looking at all the infractions on your profile.
And now you're evading your ban.

I do dislike you, but that doesn't matter.
You broke the rules, and you got punished. Now you're ban evading, I've been banned twice I didn't complain or ban evade.

Yes, all of those infractions are EXPIRED. I don't even know which bloody rule I BROKE. By VM'ing a mod telling him that my thread was a joke?
Yet again, if that's what pases for staff by Ikiliki, than this site has officially gone to shit.

Imo infractions don't expire.
An infraction means you did something wrong, looking at your infractions you've done a lot wrong in the past.
Be happy with a 24 hour ban, it could've been worse.

You say that like it even matters what you specifically think. And my infractions have never been big. If you want to argue that it was ok of you to ban me for PAST and EXPIRED infractions, go for it.
But know that you'll lose.

Infractions expire to avoid you from being automatically banned after being infracted a few times for something really small.
However, the infraction itself is still saved in the database and our head, and may be used against you afterwards.
About the situation, I don't know what this is all about.
If you have many infractions and broke the rules, a day ban isn't really a problem to me, especially not because you even evaded it (which usually becomes a perm ban).
What is a VM btw?

I wasn't sure if this was really worth a perm-ban seeing as it's only a day ban (24 hours).

However, the infraction itself is still saved in the database and our head, and may be used against you afterwards. None of my infractions have been for anything big. I understand what you're saying, but there's no rule saying that it is ok to ban me for past infractions. Especially when I'm sure there are people who have more.

But that's not why he banned me.
I made a thread for lulz.
He locked it.
I VM'd him way after he locked it,
He infracted me.
I said I was going to dispute the VM, because he didn't care about the thread. He cared about my VM -- even though he infracted me FOR THE THREAD.
Than he banned me. For reasons I'm still trying to figure out.
@Ban evading I made this account so I could share my part of the story; seeing as I didn't even do anything bannable, but was still banned.

It's not that. I could last 24 hours; but it was the absolute reasonless abuse that Pot banned me for which I am mad about. As I've said before, I did absolutely NOTHING bannable.

It's not abuse. He has every right to ban you for 24 hours if he feels that you need it. What's the point if giving you another infraction? Obviously infractions haven't changed your behavior, but maybe a taste of the banhammer will.
Avoiding the ban and making a big deal about it only proves that you needed to be put in your place in my opinion.
I'd say the discussion is over.
