Look in the manual, look at how to get into the BIOS (Could be delete key, might be an F key)
See if you can get into the BIOS.
Otherwise check the manual on 'Resetting the CMOS'

I cant get into the bios, under the heading "jumper" in the manual it says clear CMOS jumper: jbat1?

Either look for a plastic clip with the text on the motherboard 'jbat1'
OR
Find the big'ish flat circle silver battery, remove it (with the power supply turned off on the unit), and then wait 30 seconds and plug it back in - observing current polarity and direction.

Will this damage any data?

Nope, it will reset any BIOS settings you had but did you have any set?
You might need to enable the two extra cores again.

The battery is just below the blue socket, might be covered by your graphics card.
Check the first few pages of the manual, there's usually a motherboard diagram in there somewhere.

JBAT is 3 pins, 2 of which are covered by a green peace of plastic, the manual says to take this off and instead of covering the left and middle i should cover the right and middle.
you can clear CMOS by shorting 2-3 pin while the system is offer. Then return to 1-2 pin position.
So all i have to do is take this green piece of plastic off the left and middle pin (1 and 2) and put it on the right and middle pin (2 and 3) but the system must be off? should i unplug the computer by the mains?

Don't unplug the computer.
When the PC is plugged in the earth wire is active so less likely to break something through shock, I usually unplug though so it doesn't really matter.
Just flick the switch on the back of the PSU to off.
Then move the green plastic to the 2-3 and leave it for 10 seconds, then move them back, then power on the system.

It didnt work :/
1) i took the plastic thing out
2) put it on the other 1 pin
3)took it out again
4) put it to were it originally was
This was all when the comp was plugged into the main but the psu was off?
A few things ive noticed is that normally theres a beeping sound when it turns on but it isnt happening anymore and after around 15 secs theres a popping / crackling sound?

Take the memory out and run only one stick.
This has happened to me before.
If it runs with one stick, but them both back in and try again.
Try each stick individually to see if one's faulty.

I took one out and it was the same as it was with two, i took the first one and and put the second one in and there was this beeping sound that beeped around 4 times and the monitor displayed nothing and the computer would not turn off so i pressed the off button for 6 seconds and it finally did.. it didnt work :(

Four beeps.
Were all beeps equal length?
Was it like:
Beep - Beep - Beep - Beep
or
Beeeep - Beep - Beep - Beep

I put the RAM in wrong, so i re tried using one stick and one worked fine so i put the second one in and turn the power supply back on and the graphics card fan started turning without me putting the on switch on? its not fully going but starting and stopping

Right.
Create an account at forums.aria.co.uk.
Post in the correct section (General Hardware) and tell them what the problem is.
I've got an account over there (3k+ posts) and there are many there who are similarly or further technically minded than me - together we'll find a solution.

If what toonshorty says dosnt work, trying removing a piece of ram, and boot your computer if it dosnt work put it back and take out the other one. maybe you have a defective ram stick just run Hirens if you can get a hold of it to test your hardware :P
