View Full Version : Why don't...

I've never seen a bot with Chat responses for example it will greet or respond to players.... I asked this question on RSbot a few years ago and the answer was it was simply to complicated and nobody wanted to spend the time.
I was thinking when making a bot
- Run it on Quickchat only worlds
- Program the options into the bot so it can respond to them for example if someone is detected saying "What is your Range level" the bot could simply respond to it "My Range level is BLAHBLAH" via quickchat. That would help with banning I believe.
Don't know if this has been done or a stupid Idea but I just thought of that. :P.

The thing is, even on a quickchat world, you can easily detect a bot by repeating your question.
No one is obviously going to respond to "What is your Slayer level?" multiple times.

Good idea but I'm sure Jagex would soon catch onto it and begin lurking quick chat worlds for non-muted players on for long periods of time. Unless you purposely go to mute your account just for the sake of botting.

It's really not that hard for a quick chat world, probably not even for a regular world even. I know RiDz has it. I know one guy did it for like a dragons bot, but everyone got banned because of whenever someone said str lvl they all said their strength level. So people did it like 5 times in a row and the bot would say the persons strength level 5 times in a row. So people obviously knew they were botting. This can be avoided by adding a simple counter for how many times someone has asked or something or just add a check if a random number is like 2 then say it.

I've ran a runecrafting script that does that LOL, Some guy from miles away just said hey to some other dude and it just went "sup" and carried on running, so I don't know if it's all that effective

This is possible and good idea.

If I remember correctly, Aryan had convince methods for printing text to the chatbox. Cant see how RSBot wouldn't have something similar.

They do have something similar, it's just everyone that creates scripts for RSBot are awful at programming, even if it's a good script, the person is still bad. That's why there's not many things like this.
