I have Windows Vista, and it's the worst windows ever. ( My opinion, don't go raging on me about that lol )

I like Windows 7, my friend has it and i'm getting it soon. I've never used Linux nor Apple so I can't say anything about them.

I have windows vista,and it helped with rsps cuz i never needed to portfoward,i voted for vista,altho i would like a linux or windows 7

Alright, let's look at it this way.

*nix systems are generally more stable, and are fantastic for general use. What can't be opened (due to it being an exe file), could easily be fixed with WINE, or even a VM.
Macs are a crappy ripped off version of *nix systems.
Vista is a memory whore.
Windows 7 is for absolute fags.
XP is decent, provides ... decent .. stability, and has the ability to play the majority of popular games.

I have windows 7 on my laptop, windows xp on desktop and linux on netbook.

Overall though I prefer my Win7.

Linux all the way. I cant understand why anyone would prefer a Windows operating system, its so proprietary that it makes my eyes and ears bleed. The only Windows I would even think about using is XP, using Windows 7 is like a downgrade. I bet most of you don't even realize that Linux is starting to take over the mobile devices market (ever hear of Android?), even most tablets ship with Linux now.

I can honestly go on and on about the pros and cons, but the majority of this communities users use Windows, so obviously I would probably be better off talking to a wall.

I dual boot both Win7 and xubuntu, and I used xubuntu whenever possible. Maybe you should learn what you're talking about first.

Linux, as you can make it compatible with windows .exe files (wine). plus its free. fuck windows, yet im VMing linux and running windows, since i know more windows. Windows is more for gaming, since you can have game drivers, and linux is for programming. lastly, mac is good for graphics, music.

That's an outright lie.

Windows XP and 7 perform very similarly, especially on a PC that is made for gaming (4GB RAM, Dual Core or better and a decent graphics card).

Windows XP only supports DirectX 9.

If you want DirectX 11 you'll need Windows 7.

So for gaming, Windows 7 > XP.

WINE isn't 100% stable, and some programs don't even work on it.

What are 'Game drivers?' - Drivers are software designed to interact with the intended hardware component, software doesn't need drivers in most cases.
Mac isn't good for graphics, where have people come to this conclusion? For £1200 I can have a dual core iMac with 4GB of RAM or a quad core (virtual 8-Core) PC with 8GB of RAM. Don't bother saying the screen is better since you can get displays for graphics, their called IPS displays.

While being a great OS for gamers, it has various bugs, and your more likely to get a virus on it then from a Linux.
Mac
If you're gaming, forget it. Although it is known to be great for working, in Coding, designing, etc.
Linux
Basicly the perfect sistem, Virus Free, Fast, Customizible, free, and thats just the start, but like the mac, No gaming potencial.


If you can Dual-Boot the errors above can be fixed, but i go with Win7.
