Hai dur.
Well, I just picked up Crysis 2 about, 8 hours ago? Played it for about 5, and there is some positives and negatives.
Firstly, the campaign.
This was the first thing I played and finished in about 4 hours, that is its first flaw. To me, it was WAY to short, Red Dead Redemption took me 3 days to complete 100%, but 4 hours to finish an entire game's campaign? Arg.
Also another problem with the campaign is the Checkpoints or display points or what ever they are called, the things that point you to where you're supposed to be or to an important location.
Sometimes, I don't know if my game was glitched or that's how it is, but it didn't show sometimes. I was mindlessly walking around trying to find my way to the next location.
And other times, when it does show up, its half way across the damn map and takes AGES to walk there. This is only a SMALL flaw, but an annoying one for me.
Also, (SPOILER), there is a mission where you go into this guys lab to destroy his shit cause the enemies want it, and I don't know If I am just docile as fuck, but you are supposed to locate a elevator to ride it to the top, it took me 10 minutes to find it, and I can guarantee if I play through the campaign again, I won't find it a second time. And the SAME level, after you cleared out the room and destroyed the guys hardware, a chopper comes and the guy over your little intercom thingy says for you to get out. So I explored for 5 minutes a route to get out, there was none. No-one, not the mission objective, not anyone over the intercom, not the mini-map, nothing told me you had to fucking destroy the helicopter, so it flies threw the building and gives you a way out.. Annoying..
Anyway, enough of the bad shit, lets get onto the good shit.
Overall, the campaign was fun, but annoying at times. It had some cool characters, an awesome story line, and over-all was action-packed.
But I was playing on the 3rd setting, and holy shit it was hard. The second last level especially, running out of ammo, trying to find some, dying, and repeat until I finally one.
Multiplayer is FUCKING EPIC, only 2 words to describe it. Fucking epic.
Its a mixture of COD, Halo and Battlefield BC rolled into one nice little package.
The lagg is almost unnoticeable, we got a 2bar game and the hit detection was still 50x better than on other similar games.
The guns, well I don't know I played for about an hour and only got to level 13. Shit I know, but I was more trying to get the layout of the maps.
The 2 assault rifles I have, the SCAR is sweet, and the jackel I think its called is decent.
The class loadout system is sweet, although the stronger armor ability might be a little bit overpowered, but eh.
And overall, its just action-packed, filled with just killing and repeat. Awesome game.
Singleplayer- 3/5
Multiplayer 5/5
I know I sound like some hardcore gaming guru, but meh.
Good game, overall 8/10
:D
