Eminem is easily the best freestyler. Next best would have to be Kid Cudi. Cudi's also really good with writing too. Lil' Wayne amazing with hooks and phrases. Everyone's good for their own reasons.

Well, they have it more than you.
I wasn't saying "THESE BLACK RAPPERS ARE STUPID AND SHOULDN'T BE ON INTELLIGENT BOARD" i was saying that how is rapping overall in intelligence at all?
Please understand words before replying with a harsh comment on the internet, because you sound like a fag.

Lmfao, REAL rap can be intelligent bro, I'd like to see you make up rhymes off the top of your head and actually make sense, and I sound like a fag? Look at you, making a new name because you are embarrassed of what everyone knew you as before.

Chad shush.
I didn't say i'm a rapper, i'm not, and i'll never be. I didn't make a new name. This is my real life name, infact your the one embarrassed not using your real life name because your afraid people will make fun of it. I didn't use this before because someone else took it.
Chad, then why not put this thread that waynex made back on intelligent too?

Haha, I only flame out people who deserve it. I see where you're coming from when you say Eminem's music is meaningful but Tupac and Notorious B.I.G are much more meaningful, they've been through it all and they basically tell stories when they rap.

Slik
November 9th, 2010, 09:44
Define 'best'.

As per freestyle, biggie. If you know his music, you'll understand why. His freestyle would literally be in the back of his car while smoking a spliff and a beat comes on and everyone adds bars to the beat. Listen to his content, that is true freestyle. Not written down and then spit over a mic.
Straight up gangsta, pac.
Flow, Jay-Z.
Passion, Eminem.
Interlectual content, Immortal Tech
As per bars, I would have to say papoose. Easy E is up there too, and if you can level with wayne so is he. But papoose can have a discussion with you in his songs without you even talking back to him, that is something you don't find too often.

I won't go into detail about underground rappers, because most people won't know who i'm talking about, or be able to relate. When it comes down to the most powerful person in rap, past or present there is only one person that comes to mind. Pac.

Put it into percentage of how many songs are about sex, drugs and stupid things compared to his songs in relation to other events. Now compare this with other rappers, I rest my case. I've listen to his old school stuff, i've watched him mature as a rapper and grown as the industry has. I don't speak for others, but overall his content is far from bad. On the other hand, you have rappers who spit bars about the same old shit, in a different beat with a few different words but the same message being sent across.

With other rappers? Let me tell you they're many rappers who actually don't just rap about sex, drugs, and other stupid things, common misconception as I bet you are talking about mainstream rappers now-a-days. True, many main stream rappers rap about Drugs, sex, ect, however a lot of them also rap about real world stuff. I like Eminiem (I think his voice is a bit annoying) and he does rap about some real shit; I don't like how he raps about pretty much the same thing though, Either how fucked up his life is or his kids, or something that is fucked up. Rappers rap about things that are involved in their life so you can't exclude someone as a bad rapper because they rap about sex, drugs, and all that stuff because that is truly a part of some of their lives. Are you saying Eminem has more meaningful songs? To be honest, many of his "Meaningful" songs are way to depressing for me. To make things clear I know he raps about real shit, but many Eminem fans have the funny belief that thats all he raps about, because they only know and listen to his mainstream stuff, and even some of his mainstream stuff is retarded and about Sex, money, and drugs. You guys need to get away from that argument because it doesn't work. It's also about personal preference, I don't like his depressing music, I like more fast pace moitvational music or music that affects me and relates to me more than how He lived in a trailer in Detroit and is a bad father.

What are they...

No afraid, love the way you lie, Mockingbird, toy soilders, stan, lose yourself, when I'm gone, and Beutiful, cleaning out my closet? And a couple other ones...

And many more, I think many eminem fans hear his most popular songs which are his one rapping about pretty much the same thing whether it be How fucked up his life is, kids, ect.
Now you want a rapper (hip-hop too) who raps about real shit all the time? Listen to Immortal Technique

A lot of the time (Especially with most people like Lil wayne) You have to really look at the lyrics of lil wayne, because you might say its jibberish but I can tell you I can fully understand 95% of what lil wayne says and the deeper meaning behind it. Also Lil wayne does not write his music it all comes from his head as the beat is going so if that is making him the "Worst rapper alive" Then you're hitting the pipe. Lil wayne also has many songs that are motivational because like he said in his documentary he is a lively person he doesn't want to do the depressing stuff.

He created Vitamin Water.
...

This guy got from 0 to the top.
He isn't a good rapper whatsoever IMO but I like the way he got to the top.
Hes a businessman, and a smart one.

Fair enough, as a business man he is great. As a rapper I also agree he is total garbage.

TEXT

You went way too much into what I said, people are acting as if he is a rapper that only spits about sex and drugs etc, I am not saying his content is one of the least involved in such topics, but he is far from the top. Look at papoose, alphabetical slaughter, think of the thought that went into that. His content is far superior, and I know this. I am not Eminem's biggest fan, but there are songs I like and the message he is sending nower days is generally thought to be shit, when really people don't understand what he is talking about.

Do you think Eminem creates all his own beats rofl? You obviously don't know anything about rap because its about rapping to the beat, and with flow, not about creating the beat. That argument is invalid.

Of course he didn't create all of his own beats, explain when I implied this. You act as if Eminem is my idol, far from it. Potstyle said "biggie - beat" which I understood as the beat of the songs. The content is rap, not the beat. It plays a big part of the song, yes but I wouldn't say that the best aspect of biggie was his beats.

So I can't really reply to that. You cannot blame me for replying how I did because of the "ignorance" that was in your post by pretty much assuming that Eminem raps about only real shit and that other rappers only rap about Sex, Drugs. How am I supposed to know what you meant to say?

Again, I don't know you, the way you posted prior to my reply inferred that you think he is the best rapper because he raps about real shit, AGAIN; how am I supposed to know who your idol is? So I'm going to assume. I don't get the quote above ^ are you agreeing with me?

I am comparing him to soulja boy, sysco, cher etc.

I am ignorant to rap? You assumed, which is why you replied what you did. Eminem does rap about sex, drugs and I never suggested he doesn't. My point was, he does it less than a lot of mainstream rappers. He can hold his ground and has done a lot, which I give him credit for. Underground music is the best music, whether this be rap or anything else it doesn't matter. Before things are commericialized, they are the best.

Read my earlier posts, I do not agree with your statement that I know 'nothing' about rap. My point was that the best aspect of biggie's raps were not the beat he was rapping to, but the content itself.

As said before, whatever I say on this thread is in my opinion.

Yes, but directly linking biggie to the beats and just the beats is forgetting about everything else. If you said, you liked the way he rapped to the beat as mentioned earlier by Zykev, then that is okay, but to say just the beats doesn't really make sense.

I said you were "Ignorant" not as an insult but saying your post was ignorant or misinformed, I did assume, because this is the internet how am I not supposed to? I replied to a segment of your previous post where you stated

Put it into percentage of how many songs are about sex, drugs and stupid things compared to his {Eminem} songs in relation to other events.

I may of taken what you said for what it was not, but when you say compared to Eminem songs in relation to other events it seems like you're inferring that Eminem doesn't rap about those things which is what I was trying to prove that; Yes, Eminem DOES rap about those also, he is not an exception. You have posted very vaguely on what you like/don't like and changed around what you meant to say so it's very confusing for me.

Allow me to simplify for you.

If 5 out of 100 songs of eminem is about sex, drugs etc then his songs are 5% about that, compare this figure to other rappers who will score much higher, he won't be at the top (100%). By that I mean, he does it but he does it a lot less in comparasion to other rappers. These figures are not accurate, just an example. There are rappers who have 100% of their songs about that, which is my point. There are rappers who score 0%, such as you said. I totally agree that they are the better rappers, in terms of content. It depends what you seek from rap, everyone's taste differs.

Rather Vague examples but I see what you're saying. (5 out of 100 songs is giving him WAY to much credit though because its not that outweighed.) But yes I agree with you.

Em does create some of his own beats... he does produce some music (with Shady Records i think) but yeah the beat comes (most of the time) first then the lyrics are picked to fit with the beat but its is the lyrics that make you good/bad not the beat. * Hopefully i understood what you said correctly

And a couple other ones...

edit; I had about 5 other ones up their but I guess I didn't copy their URL lol and they all showed up as N64 Golden eye, and don't feel like going back and copying them.
