Help please portforward.

Okay i port forwarded and i made a exception in my computer firewall like where you type 43594 for a port, and people still cannot connect to my server. Im pretty sure i did this right because i have had a server running before and people have been able to connect then i got a wireless router. But i have port forwarded it so i dont know what the problem is. So if anyone could help me here i would really appreciate (i spell that right? lol) it. You can talk to me on skype if it helps if not the thread will work (skype; destroer275 comes up as dan as the display name)

go on google and type in port foward click 1rst search and find your router. all help is on there

If it isn't working you did something wrong in the portforwarding. Since this is the most critical part of making a server it won't work when you didn't did it. There are also lots of guides about portforwarding and once you understand it its simple.

okay so when i went to the first website found my router all it did was tell me to download a program i have to buy.
