Hey guys :)
Well, I'm intrested in purchasing either I(magin)P(ower)B(oard) or vBulliten. I've tried both admin CP's and there are things I like about both.. I was wondering if you guys could help me decide :).

I quite like vBulletin compared to IPB however IPB can be more experimental. If it was me, IPB at the moment.

I like IP.Board truthfuly, It has alot of features, cheaper the vB, and I just like how it's setup. See to me, vB 4's member's profiles look like IP.Board's. I'd prefer IP.Board over vB anyday.

Something I did like 'bout IPB was that the Admin CP seemed so much more user friendly than vBulliten's..

I haven't ever used either on a production site, but I've tested nulled versions and I preferred IPB by far.

Vbulletin looks more professional, and i like all the features it has,but i seriously recommend not upgrading to this current vbulletin forum until they finish upgrading all the features for it

You can pay someone to make one for IP.Board..(Or make one yourself)

VBulletin is extremely simple, has good support, and gives you a pretty good and easy learning environment.
I think VB is more popular than IPB anyways?
I say these from personal experiences. for me VBulletin is the best.
I'm using VBulletin making my new forums here as well: Only the registered members can see the link.
No the homepage is NOT VBulletin.
I recommend VBulletin.

I'd say IBP.
I'm not a huge fan of vBulletin - they've only just moved onto CSS. I hate the way the admin/mod control panel has a different theme and feels detached from the forum.
Banning on vBulletin is also annoying, if someone spams more that 50 posts you have to delete them all manually.
vBulletin has too many problems for me.

VB is stupidly overpriced for what it offers.
Its just a forum ffs, you can get forum software for free, why spend 300$ on it.

At first I thought VBulletin. But then I started hosting an IPB and actually fell in love with it. IPB is a great forum.

No, you can download add-ons that delete the last 5/10/15/20/25/30/etc. posts from the user you selected, or you can just prune them.

After readin' everything I think I'm going to go with IPB... It seems more flexible than VB, and it seems like it would be a hassle to download all the add ons VS having them built in (among many other reasons :)). Ty all :]

I guess you don;t have full rights because there is actually a feature that when you go to ban you have the option to tick to delete all of the persons posts and wall messages. Something of the sort I remember anyways.
Me I say VB- more secure. Either board can do pretty much what each other can do VB has more stuff out mind you. IPB is just getting a better rap because they had a default forum that looked more internet friendlily for this age but now VB has it aswell _ before you could easily skin it yourself better. They do have a easier Admin Panel but I do not know how people say that they have more options- they don't. VB covers near everything you could imagine you need.

Yeah, thats what i mean, someone who understands me -hugs-
VB just seems SOOO simple, and they give me 24/7 support right away so i'm fine with them. IPB annoys me.
I haven't seen IPB admin cp/mod cp is it similar/exact/different to VB?
Most people don't get these features because their using a null-version without a VBulletin License. I have one, so i'm good to go.
