Go to new season and select manager mode and just set up your shit you'll eventually get a bunch of confidence from the board and more moeny based on how you manage your team and win, I play on a 3-5-2 formation.

Never played ultimate team so I couldn't tell you lol, I enjoy being a Manager :p.
