Should marijuana be legalized?

This is my first debate here and I think this will be an interesting topic.

My judgement: I believe the use of marijuana is, in the majority, for status quo among young people.
Should it be legalized, this would be more accesible to younger audiences. Thus creating a dangerous enviroment
in whice no one could be 100% sure of their saftey and the safety of their children. Also, while the affects of marijuana are largely unknown, I myself have used marijuana and I know the negative affects it can cause.
Mind you I have been clean of any drugs for over a year.

In conclusion, I believe leagalizing marijuana is a bad idea for these reasons. Thank you for the opportunity to state my beliefs on such a controversial topic. Good luck to you.

I believe that marijuana should be legalized, As you said it would be bad if kids got first hand contact with "Weed" do to it preventing brain growth, But the way this topic is going to be sold in or like a liquor, witch I think is a great idea, they are no proof that "Weed" has any adverse effects on the human body beside's the fact that it can kill brain cell's all so know as being "Perm-a-fired" Witch I believe is every minimal on the age's 21+. On another note it is a proven fact that in most case's those who stay away from drugs and alcohol tend to be responsible with drugs and alcohol.

I have also have used "Weed" and had no problems as you explained, I have also read allot on the topic, and watched count less documentary's on the subject.
