So I've creating a combination lock, or password, to enter my house on Rob/Marc's MC server (Only the registered members can see the link.). Before covering up the wiring I wanted to give some pictures of it an my explanation to how it works. This is one of my more successful redstone contraptions, so I'm quite pleased with it. I did not use any specific tutorial, only tips I've picked up from the time I started wiring in MC (I've really always wanted to do this, just never got around to it) and my current knowledge of how things work. Nevertheless, here's some pictures! :D

This is the UI for it all. You have to press the buttons in the correct order to be able to open the door through the submit button. I'm still trying to figure out a way to kill those that get it wrong, I've worked on this long enough so I'll get to that later.

Here's an overview of all of the wiring. Under these pictures I'll describe in more detail about what each section does.

This is the base of the locking system, which consist of 6 inputs. 4 of those inputs lead to the 4 RS-NOR latches, and the other 2 lead to an output that resets the lock.

This room pretty much controls the unlocking of the gate outside of the combination. This uses an AND-Gate to allow me to use a button. When you properly unlock the pattern, an input is sent from the final RS-NOR latch in the combination to the AND-Gate, which toggles off 1 torch. When I click the submit button, it follows an underground circuit to this gate which toggles the other torch off, and as both input switches are off the output switch is toggled on. This carries a current to another RS-NOR latch which keeps the door open after the pressing of the button. It switches the current of the latch to the opposite side, which ultimately opens the door. The when I click the reset button on the other side of the wall, it toggles another underground current that switches the current BACK to the other side, turning the door off again and resetting the combination lock.

Below are pictures with edited tags of what they do.

Yeah, I looked at the clock and realized I was up all night. :S

And FUCK I hate multiplayer, it ruins timing so my song for when you complete the combination doesn't work. :(
