I stay up countless all nighters and I think I could pick up quickly, but I just don't really understand where to begin?

It's not hard once you learn your first language all the rest come to you super easy :p

What I recommend you to do is start programming something you love to do like RSPS. Experiment with some things and also make sure you use an IDE of your choice to help you out with tough programming errors. A good one is Eclipse that you can download here (Only the registered members can see the link.).

Yeah I DEFINATELY need practice haha. That and a tutor. I'm kind of a quick learner, but like I said there is so much to learn it just overwhelms me and then I just stop and get frustrated lol

Um, you don't have to use Java for RSPS. People have written C++ and C# bases before. If you know the language you'd be stupid not to apply it.

Sorry Nathan, I don't know who all the top coders are. To be honest this is the most active I've ever been on forums. Who are the top coders anyway? I've heard of Pali, Canownu, Graham(spelling?) and that's it.

Best programmers I know of on these forums would be Samouraiblood2, Trey (I heard he's good, never really seen any of him though) and Fire cape released a decent Hyperion base.

Back on-topic. Use sun's tutorials (Only the registered members can see the link.). They'll teach you the basics of Java (Thanks to Marc, samuraiblood2 [Nick], and whoever else attempted to teach me to program).

Coding is a very Serious matter to Private Servers, So you just don't take a source & change the name or just leave it.
Coding takes abit of time to understand where to start of, Just do what I did.
Look on youtube on how to code & where to start.
I think you'll understand in the Future if you Listen carefully & understand or even most of all, take in the information the right way.

Yes I agree, I want to be able to take a source, and add anything that I want to it, without a problem once I get there I'll be happy. Hopefully they got videos on youtube that are in steps of what to learn.. haha
