View Full Version : Question about Manual Ban - Runescape

Quite some time ago I played Runescape quite a bit but my accounts sucked. I then met something that changed Runescape to me, Botting.
I knew about the risks but figured it was worth it because I never had a very good account on Runescape before, so I tried it.
It wasn't long after it resulted in a ban for a year, but I didn't fuss. It didn't bother me that much and I thought "Well, in a year when I get the account back I won't continue to Bot, i'll just do everything alone." I was going to keep my word but then not long ago I figured that I should be Un-Banned soon so I decided to check the account and try to log on. It failed, so I quickly opened up another tab to check when the ban was finished. Turns out it was done, but this "Manual Permanent Ban" was not complete? It doesn't say why I was banned it's blank. Of course I figure that it's due to the Botting but I couldn't log in to Bot afterwards because I was already banned. When I discovered this "Manual Ban" I tried to appeal it and it failed. Apparently someone else was on my account and used my second appeal. So I didn't have a chance to appeal twice. Now my account is stuck with a ban, for good. I just want to see exactly what the account has left on it and skills. It's a possibility I was hacked because of the appeal problem. I have a couple of questions about this for anyone who may be able to deliver an answer.

Questions:
What exactly is a Manual Ban? (I know it's obviously done Manually but...?)

Is a permanent ban actually permanent?

Any possible way I can contact someone to get another chance or anything?

Is it rare to get a Manual Ban?

I think that is all I have to ask, any other information would be nice. Thanks.

I think it's a ban decided by a staff member or something, at least.. that sounds logic.
Can't you mail them? o;

Manual Ban - applied personely by a JaGeX moderator for such offenses such as:

Botting (Bot Catching events; aka Jagex Moderators find bots and manually insta-ban them.)
Parents(Calling/Emailing JaGeX; They will ban you're account.)
Serve Bug Abuse(NoClipping; Bugs that gain massive XP in a small amount of time).

You can appeal to the permanent ban, so it's not really permanent if you're innocent.
