Can't decide what base to begin. I have EvolutionX base, but I'm not sure if I like it or not.
I need a link to a source/client that is pretty basic, stable, and has good conventions so I can learn properly.
Things I want to learn from source:o:
How to add npc that are animated and aggressive that dont hit 0's
how to add and delete custom items (don't like recoloreds)
GS stances, attacks, specials, ext
GWD, animated with 4 bosses and minions.
Well that list will already take me a while so I'll stop there.
Source/Client linkss?!?
Also- Why doesn't anyone like Delta?

Ok, but I've seen a lot of people say Hyperion is much more complicated/for for advanced coders?

If you can program you can program. The structure of a project shouldn't affect that. It is a bit of a dense design, but if you understand the code you should be able to logically find what you need etc. It just may not be as quick to find as in a simpler design.

It's not complicated as long as you know the basics I guess is what I can say.

Exactly. Hyperion uses all the resources so it rapes your CPU like hell. For stability, why not just use a source your used to, and implement raw NIO?

People don't like Delta 'cause it's all around shit.
Everything is packed into the client class, and there are A LOT of unused codes. DeltaClean can hold ~300+ more people than a normal delta source, but even DC has a lot of unused coding in it too, and you'd have to code pretty much everything in it apart from RC'ing/pickpocketing.
I suggest you start with Delta if you're not much of an experienced coder; yes, people will say you develop 'bad habits', but there are more tutorials and people who know shit about anything on Delta than on most other sources.
