Guide to making a good advertisement

A good advertisement should have a lot of detail and information make people want to play your server before they play it. If it's like you describe then people will stay until they get bored. Don't forget a link to download your client, and how to make an account if there's registration required. You may post 1 link to your forums and this is the ONLY place.


You also need to know how to press Print screen
Only the registered members can see the link.

Then know how to open MS Paint comes with windows.
Only the registered members can see the link.

Then paste you picture in
Only the registered members can see the link.

Then crop it by selecting the part you want and click crop

Then upload it to an image host,
tinypic as an example:

Make a new thread in the advertisements section
Only the registered members can see the link.
or the toplist
Only the registered members can see the link.


Adding to toplist/status page
Okay Create or login to page by clicking here Only the registered members can see the link.
You will see this: Toplist| Add Server| Server CP|
To make a new server press add server.
And to edit yours click server cp.

I've allready added mine so im just editing but this is what you see.

So login to your Cp and click edit server/details
Only the registered members can see the link.

The parts that are in red you edit with your images and text so i dont get in trouble for advertising

1. This uses win7's paint. What about earlier versions or Mac users?
2. Most laptops don't have just a print screen button. It is a more complex keystroke.
3. How is this for making advertisements? It's just for making screenshots.

I know there hasn't been a post in months but seeing as it's stickied I don't see the harm in posting on this, you should show people tools that can take screenshots for you without going through a long process of screen shot, paint, crop, upload where you could just use something like zscreen, choose what you want to screenie, wait for it to upload and then that's it.
