I don't have a vote this week, not gonna lie I am a little disappointed and I am not trying to be rude but I feel like all my effort went to waste when a pencil distorted feather or a rough draft of anime or even a paint sig without a background all do not take much time to make. And furthermore none of them are complete! if I had left the BG out or did my sig ina rough draft and just left it like that i'd be given hell!

Good job to the people that draw their stuff but it wasn't near a competition level, that's my opinion please don't take it the wrong way but I feel like people are voting for it because its something they like rather than what 'looks best' like when people vote on a sig because they like the team or like the girl in it etc.

Divine, yours actually has some good drawing skill with humans, but again its a sketch.
Sethy, yours shows your interested in drawing but you have a ways to come it is also a very rough and a bit skewed.
Zera, yours is not complete and also is a bit malformed. I am all for the good pixel sig and you put more effort than what is normally put in but it, along with the other 2 above are not at completion.

I'm not going to spend hours photoshopping when someone can spend far less time and produce a unfinished piece then enter it.

Sorry if I am being a sore loser but I wouldn't mind losing to the following:

Friss, coop, Joe, and Bredun, I couldn't decide between all of yours, sorry. Most were kinda flat no depth and needed work on colors lighting etc.

I must say, I love that you assume my drawing took so little time. The feather is in no way skewed, that is exactly how I imagine a feather in MY mind. It's my style, as I always put my personality into my work.

@Edit, I don't recall how much time. Have you ever heard of that artist's phase? Where you completely lose track of time and reality when you get into the work? It's like that. Also, it's a complete entry. What's unfinished about it?

Guidelines? To realistic aspects like lighting, depth, composition, sure and I know this. My piece doesn't defy any of that, and gives a more surreal view to a feather.

Furthermroe this isnt a Drawing of the week, its a signature of the week and drawing is a very different artform from computer GFX.

I'm sorry but Divine-X has had 13~ years of Art classes 2nd Grade to now and he even said he rushed it if I'm not mistaken.

And I'm pretty positive Sethy has had Art classes and probably more years then Divine.

And what I highlighted in red just aggravated me. And from what I've seen your just a dullard, stupid, child. Excuse me if I'm flaming but that just aggravated the crap out of me. How can you even begin to try and judge someone of their work and say that it's not complete? I didn't know you were there with them while they were drawing it. If you were then your pretty fuckin' amazing to be able to be at 3 places at the same time.

And in my own personal now public opinion your Photoshop drawing shit thing was horrid. I looked at it I couldn't tell what was freaking going on it took me 4 whole minutes just to notice a person in the middle because of all the freaking brushes all over the place and dots everywhere. And again excuse me if I'm flaming but I just felt that my statement should've been given.

You seem to look at these guys as if they are the great artists of history which they are not, their piece isn't describing the times they live in it is simply art that they produced from themselves with personal meaning behind them. They are incomplete and sketches they just are and that's not flame its just fact. Your taking this as if I am personally attacking divine which I am not, I am not saying he is a bad artist so you don't need to defend him by reminding me that he said he rushed. Same goes for Sethy.

Your taking this completely the wrong way, it shouldn't aggravate you. I am 18, im not a child anymore and I wouldn't say i'm stupid. Art is free expression but this is a competition and guess what, not all art is as good as the next. I am not saying myself or anyone else here is a better artist but some people will take it that way.

If you were able to keep looking and figuring out my piece for 4 minutes i'll take that as a compliment. See my posts from before were based around a problem I am seeing with this SOTW where as your post is based around putting me down. There is only 1 brush!!! There is minimal dots!! I'll excuse your flaming(because I understand you feel its needed to get your point across) if you will re read through my posts and consider my actual intentions without just jumping on me because you think I am trying to personally attack people and their art.

Another thing is why doesn't anyone stand up for the pixel sig guy, he spent time on the signature as well- I think its the fact that more people have tried their hand at paint than they have at drawing and actual art classes for drawing. That just further continues to push the point that drawings really shouldn't be included in a SOTW because drawning and computer GFX are two VERY DIFFERENT types of art-form, the same as we don't allow photography within the SOTW, however as Joe has done he has incorporated 2 types of art form. If Sethy and Divine had finished their work on the computer from their sketches I can't see any problem i'd have with those entries.

Your not holding standards, its as if you think drawing with paper makes you better when you cannot even compare art forms. If you look at Zeras sig he actually did put time into it. Zeras sig is a rough drawing, its missing a BG doesn't have as much depth unless he was going for a cartoon feel his characters aren't perfectly recognizable to what he intended its rough and thats the same from the other drawings. Again its a case of people being able to see the Computer generated work but they think anything drawn is just godly and has no faults.
