BBS-Pk v5.0 -- new start

okay well i stopped working on v4.0 last summer because i got a bit bored of it all.. the server had been
up and running since May and we had to shut down due to i couldnt afford vps anymore. anyway i came back to it a few weeks ago told some of the old bbs players and we started playing the old server again as kind of a beta before opening. thing is i had a massive error where the server kept nulling out and i didnt know why so i picked up a blank delta source scrapped the server and started again almost from scratch :)

a few weeks down the line i have readded some features from 4.0, recreated skills, added new areas and features so im going to share with you guys my development project on the new bbs hopefully to be released in a couple of weeks from now ;D

we have some forums setup but wont post that here as its a development thread and not an advertising thread + dont think im allowed

Features:
- real location naming for ::players command - 100%
- staff right click option - ban, mute, jail - 90%
- yelling with working player rights titles - 100%
- recreate agility - 90%
- recreate mining using eventmanager - 0%
- recreate woodcutting using eventmanager - 0%
- add new godwars maps with bosses - 85%
- add in ava accumulator in client and make it work serverside - 100%
- add in dragon arrows and dragon bolts and make them work - 100%
- give dragon arrows and bolts a special attack - 50 %
- proper mage following - 100%
- proper range following - 100%
- new running anim, walking anim and death emote - 100%
- fix some cache problems around the areas - 0%
- add new vengance gfx and veng other gfx - 100%
- add evil chicken random event - 50%
- load all skills exp through a txt file - overall - 5% - 100% for agility and combat training

i released an advertisement thread of bbs 3.0 or 4.0 about a year ago on rl if thats what your referring to but theres no way you would of seen it identically unless you played on the server, someone else has done it as well - which in all honesty could of happened im not the only one to try and be unique with a 317, but as i said i started from blank like 3-4 weeks ago :/ lol i just brought some of the global objects from 4.0 and used some of my old codes to get things started again :D

yess mate that is my quest area... if you look closely the two npcs at the front of the quest area you wont find attached to any other quest because they are custom
quests i made myself + i only put them there because the area is circular and it felt right for quests ofc i cud move it elsewhere but ive not seen another server
with quest npcs there however i have seen a server with pking here.. ;/ cant really say its not my quest area.. il agree that some of the quests are already in the server but im remaking those as well :S.. i dno why i chose wise_old_man i just picked up the first npc that i thought wud fit the purpose lol ;)

As a beta tester I can say a little about what the server will be like. Earlier threre were like a lot of ways to get money from skills like smithing and herblore. This is not the case here as the only skill you can get money directly from is thieving. The point with this is to make it a little harder to get a lot of money. Personally I've tried a lot of servers and I've seen some of them where it was relatively easy to obtain good/decent weapons and even rares. Being able to achieve those with almost no effort at all is no fun. In BBS-Pk we focus on being unique. We have a lot of unique places like the home, skiller and agility location. While other servers mostly use the basics and add some fun extras, we take it all another step forward. We will have not only special locations, but we also have a good amount of quests, more realistic and functionable skills like smithing (you don't smith gold by using a metal bar on an anvil, but items like in rs) and we will also have a custum made minigame. So far I can't say anything about that, but it will be something special. In addition to all what I've already mentioned I can garuantee that any player will be a part of a friendly and supportive community.
Pick the unique, pick BBS-Pk. ;)
