Ever get tired of RuneScape Private Servers, or are you not even into them?
Are you a gamer, looking for a community and servers to play on?
Look no further then RuneLocus Gaming!
Only the registered members can see the link.
Sick` and I have taken it upon our selves to branch off RuneLocus into a completely seperate community, all about gaming! (So please stop bothering poor Ikiliki about it guys).
What do we have? We have a great SMF forum with built in steam profiles, We have one CS: S server, but we will expand as we grow!
We are currently offering admin for the game servers as well, just apply and be elected in! (after being elected in by the community, Sick` or I will contact you about payment for the admin).
We are also home of the NANO clan, a multi gaming clan who agreed to play our servers and occupy our community! Want to know more, or want to join? They have their own boards ran by the leaders!
Just check out their application info.
(PLEASE keep in mind, that this is not in anyway truly tied to Runelocus, and we operate completely separate forum and community. Do not come to runelocus.com about my site, and don't go to my site about runelocus.com. And do NOT advertise your private servers there.)
If you would like to support us, use the donations tab found here. (Only the registered members can see the link.)

OT: The community has already grown a fair bit. I suggest anyone interested in gaming joins and shares their views on general gaming. :D
Also, for Marc. Great job; I've been along you while you developed this (even before it was for this purpose), and I say fantastic job doing this on your own.

The game servers are mainly STEAM based. i.e. Gary's Mod and CSS Server.

When you say built in steam accounts, do you mean I can use my steam account to go on?

No he means you can add you're steam username to you're profile and it will give you're current steam status - online - offline - playing a game. (etc).

Steam account is an account that you make when u join steam. You can make an account by going to Only the registered members can see the link. and downloading the steam client. After installing the client, it will ask you to create a new user account. To join in the games you have to purchase the games (only 2 games are supported so far by our community; Counter-Strike:Source and Garry's Mod).

Good luck with it I don't suspect much success but you might become successful because your getting all the traffic off this forum. But nothing really unique compared to other gaming forums.

Actually, we have Game Servers.
Maybe but I could probably google and find a gaming forums that has the same exact thing.
This is all I can say.
Oh no here comes another worthless gaming forum.
Marc
July 22nd, 2010, 22:08
It's not worthless, and I know exactly how to get traffic to it. The site gets several thousand page views a day, not the most active community, but hell, no one expected it to be bustling within a week of creation. If you think it so worthless, why bother wasting your time posting?

Your post isn't positively contributing to anything, therefore it's against the rules. Just pointing it out.

A community doesn't need vBulletin to become big.

RuneLocus was still big even with SMF.
Just because you pay for something it doesn't make it more popular.

Paid or free software does not determine how big or small a forum will get. I know alot of forums that use a free forum software and are twice the size of runelocus. Its by how unique your site is compared to other sites with the same topic as your own and what makes yours better than the others.

Some sites have 90,000 users and they use smf/mybb.
But runelocus uses vbulletin because the owner wants it to.

Depending on the success of RuneLocus Gaming, who knows if we might upgrade in the future.

I'd never change from SMF. I'm going to create many profile integrations with point systems and mods that wouldn't work out well on VB
